ATCC pRS425 phagemid; in E. coli
This is a YE-type (episomal) yeast shuttle vector. It encodes the beta galactosidase alpha peptide for blue-white color detection of inserts and also has the T7 and T3 promoters for in vitro RNA synthesis and priming sites for sequencing. It also contains the REP3 and FRT sequences necessary for high copy propagation in yeast. In S. cerevisiae, the copy number is about 20 per haploid cell. In non-selective growth, plasmids are lost through mitotic segregation at rates in the range of 4.6 +/- 0.6% of progeny per doubling. The order of the major features in this plasmid is: ori(f1) - lacZ - T7 promoter - MCS (KpnI-SacI) - T3 promoter - lacI - ori(pMB1) - ampR - ori(2 micron) - LEU2.

The greater omentum is the largest peritoneal fold within the abdomen and has an immunologic function. The omentum aids in isolating peritoneal infection and absorbing contaminants through the mesothelial stomata. Adipokines and fatty acids from this depot have direct access to the liver through the portal circulation which may lead to hepatic dysfunction.

BioChain's FFPE multiple tissue panels from the same type of tumors are designed for rapidly screening expression of tumor specific genes or proteins. Tumor tissue sections with the same tissue type collected from three different donors are arrayed along with a corresponding normal control tissue section on positively charged glass slides. Documentation of tissues' clinical histories may be available upon request. Human placenta tissue section is included in each panel as an interpanel control for comparison between different tissue panels.
